Endémica de Chile, se encuentra desde la región de Valparaíso a la Araucanía, en quebradas y laderas de cerros. Sus inflorescencias se ven en las laderas altas y asoleadas de La Aurora, desde la primavera a comienzos del verano, como en los faldeos de la parte alta del sector Los Leones.

Pajarito es una planta herbácea trepadora de hasta 4 m de altura. La corola es amarilla o anaranjada con 5 pétalos. Las flores poseen pedúnculos más largos que las hojas.

Al segundo año crecen rápido y florecen. Son trepadoras delicadas y muy floríferas. Tolera sombra en la base, trepando hacia donde hay más luz y requiere suelos con algo de humedad, buen drenaje y pH neutro. Son ornamentales por la flor y por su follaje.

Endemic to Chile, it is found from the Valparaíso Region to the Araucanía Region, in ravines and on hillsides. Its inflorescences can be seen on the high, sunny slopes of La Aurora, from spring to early summer, as well as on the upper slopes of the Los Leones sector.

Pajarito is a climbing herbaceous plant that grows up to 4 meters tall. The corolla is yellow or orange with 5 petals. The flowers have peduncles longer than the leaves.

In their second year, they grow quickly and flower. They are delicate and very floriferous climbers. It tolerates shade at the base, climbing towards where there is more light, and requires well drained soils with some moisture and a neutral pH. They are ornamental for both their flowers and foliage.
